The New Year is approaching fast with new plans and intentions for a better you.  Fat loss is certainly one of the things that people, both men and women, are quit obsessed about.  Both sexes hav different reasons for wanting to lose weight. Whatever the reasons for fat loss, the important thing is to lose weight safely.

There are many methods and ideas on how to lose weight crash diet, Jenny Craig, Atkinson diet, Primal diet, vegan diet etc., all contributing to the billion dollar weight loss industry.  The latest fade, from Snookie to the Kardashians, the fact remain the same; it is mostly a heavy advertised scam product that overpromises and underdeliver. I recently finished reading the 4 Hour Body by Tim Ferriss, and have implemented a lot of the methods Tim Ferriss discussed in his book 4 Hour Body.

A lot of people turn to crash dieting. This quick weight reduction plan for diet is not advised by most experts because of its many unfavorable side effects. It is not good to deprive food for your body.  The crash diet is a temporary fix for fat loss and weight loss.  The body will go into starvation mode and just preserve itself. If you need to shed some weight quickly for the 20 year reunion, a wedding dress, or walk on the cat-walk; drink more water, eat a balanced diet and exercise.  Water has many health benefits to our body; quench your thirst; quick weight loss, appetite suppresser, and metabolism enhancer.  A balanced diet from the 4 Hour Body should not contain any “white carbohydrates”.  Sugar is the biggest criminal of them all.  Combining excellent choices of nutrition and proper exercises will produce a long lasting effect on the body.

Fat Loss or Weight Loss Pills?

We live in world of instant gratification and a never ending supply of fast solutions for all our mundane and complex problems.  All through history and today, people have been coned  into buying the latest and greatest magic cure it all pill.  We have all been mesmerized and lured by fancy ads and amazing before and after pictures (unedited with no photo shop off course).  Pills for fat loss and weight loss is tempting and alluring, claiming outrageous results in blink of an eye. But just like crash dieting, most experts don’t recommend taking these pills. The bottom line is to avoid taking pills for everything.  The solution to safe fat loss and weight loss is proper intake of healthy nutrition and functional exercises.

Losing the excessive weight and toning the body are actually not as difficult as many may think.  A strict adherence to a new and healthy diet is a must.  Combining a healthy diet with a sound workout regime is what Tim Ferriss advocate.  Although extreme at times, Tim Ferriss uses himself as a human guinea pig, clearly shows how and what to eat and train.  It is a transformation of weight distribution, losing weight in the form of fat loss and gain mass in
muscles.  It is all about the inches lost.  The 4 Hour Body is all about going from a size 12 to a 9  or a 8 to a 5 in the shortest time possible with safety as top priority.

Those people who decide to head for extreme measures of shedding the pounds typically go back to where they came from because they have not totally changed their style of living.
